“This cannot be happening again! How often will I keep TRYING! Am I a FAILURE?”Have you ever been disappointed in life? Maybe your well worked out plans did not turn out the way you wanted. Maybe someone has done something to you which has badly hurt you. Maybe you have been diagnosed with an illness and now everything has changed. Have you lost that Job which you had worked so hard to maintain? You have been praying so hard and trying to stop that unhealthy habit but it just doesn`t seem to work. You keep falling into the same temptation and now you are feeling like a DOOMED SINNER. You have invested so much in raising and providing for your children but now that they are growing older, they seem to have forgotten everything and now you feel like all your efforts were in VAIN. Maybe your wife /husband or partner has deeply wounded you by their actions.Whatever it may be…Life is FULL of challenges and yes sometimes we will fail. Sometimes we will feel disappointed. Many times we feel hurt and anger. Yes! We are humans and we were NOT created to suffer, but to enjoy abundant life in CHRIST. However, remember that in our walk with God our faith will be tested. The test of our faith is likely to come through a disappointment, a hurt, or a challenge.This is what I have realized: no matter how angry or disappointed I may be, the situation does not change because of my feelings. The earth does not stop rotating. People will not hold on with life until I have finished licking my wounds and have calmed down. LIFE goes on! Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1: 3 - 4The question is, how do we react to these seemingly unwelcome circumstances in life? How long are you going to mourn that lost job? How long will you lament for that friend and what he/she did to you? When will you stop crying about your situation and start PRAISING GOD? And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
